  • not sure if it's spec for spec, but the swannstore has 4 cameras, a DVR4, and 7" monitor for $249.00.

    It is reconditioned though.

    • To be honest, considering the free shipping, increased monitor size, increased hard drive size, and full warranty, the deal comes out about even stevens by my reckoning.

Looks like a lot of what Dick Smith sells as new is actually secondhand. In their words it is SOP (Standard Operating Practice).

      • Part of the problem was that DS use to take everything back for change of mind, 14 days i believe. If anyone knows a shop that allows you to use a computer for 14 days and get a full refund, i'll fall over. If you walk thru there stores almost EVERYTHING was returned by customer who had TESTED the item.

They should have reset the HDD tho, and notified customers it was not new.

DS don't do this no more, NO MORE CHANGE OF MIND, guess people took advantage of a good thing.

  • no model number and no details on the link. Not good form.

  • Are they IP cameras?

    • No, standard coax cable

  • Is there any discount code if payed by paypal

    • No you cannot stack the discounts, so either the $25 Christmas code or the $20 Paypal discount.. I know which one I would use :)

    • The deal with Paypal finished on 14th Dec already AFAIK.
