I'm seeking recommendations for a sunscreen which doesn't leave a white cast and sting the eyes.
In other words, I don't want to look like a corpse with red eyes.

this is what i use, was on sale at Priceline 40% off last week
Sunscreen's great, but this stung my eyes when I was washing it off in the shower, so might not suit the OP's criteria
I've just started to use this one recently. I absolutely despise sunscreen but I find that one the most bearable of the options I've tried. It is very pricey though and the bottle is tiny. I feel sad to have missed the 40%off last week.
I recommend checking out https://sunbutteroceans.com.au/
Really good product, safe for the environment, innovative (skin tinted sunscreen / zinc) and 10% off for first time orders.I have sensitive skin and eyes and i recommend these sunscreens:
- La Roche for sensitive eyes https://www.priceline.com.au/la-roche-posay-anthelios-ultra-…
- Nivea Sensitive https://www.priceline.com.au/nivea-sensitive-protect-spf50-s…
- Olay Sensitive (this is great if you have drier skin) https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/258415/ola…
See here.
I like the Cancer Council face range. They’re very light but they are also spf50+.
I never used to wear other ones because they were so heavy then when I asked a dermatologist what I should buy he said “whatever you will apply every time you leave the house” and suggested a few lighter ones.

sting the eyes.
Don’t put it into your 👀
Wear polarised 🕶
Thank you everyone for your comments. I'll give the La Roche Posay a try first and if it doesn't work for me I'll try the other recommendations.
Whilst the white zinc gets everywhere like your clothes, sunglasses etc, I prefer the zinc based sunscreen as it is a physical blocker.
