wow, just what i was waiting for, but kind of scared since a lot of people usually comment on cashbacks failure to track their purchases. Hopefully Cashrewards will jump in and replicate this offer? :)

Just turn off adblocker solved my issues

      • shopback did not track my BWS purchase from their app. Their customer service has been slow and unhelpful in resolving the matter in my favour so far. I cannot recommend them.

        • Odd, Shopback tracked every single purchase I made from bws over the last 2 months.

  • +1

just bought something, let's hope it tracks!

    • +1

Tracked after about 7 minutes. Used the app.

  • Still haven't received my book from a month ago 😞

    • +2

they do take some time, especially since christmas kind of just happened so they might still be delays in shipping. It beats the 7 months it took me to receive some books from AbeBooks (got them this week)

    • Delivery delay covid & brexit

      Australia
Due to delivery delays in Australia, we have had to extend our usual estimated delivery times to 10-15 days.

    • If it's coming from the UK like most Book Dep books do then shipping has been insanely slow all round. Between COVID and Brexit shit a mess.

  • Bummer. The book I want is $19. Can't find a small item to add on to get above the $20 threshold. Might just wait for one of those 50% cashback offers.

  • Does it accept preorders

    • I know it does on cashrewards, i would assume the same applies here as you are technically paying for the book in advance

  • Worked. 769/1200 as of this comment

  • Got a $21 book. Thanks!

  • Successfully obtained it as well. 995/1200 as of this comment.

Just make sure you shop around as I bought a book for my daughter from BD it was $19-$20, i later found the same one at Big W for $5! Brand new, exactly same book.

BD aren't known as the cheapest anymore

    • When you consider BD include free international shipping it is impossible to compete with all marked down bricks and mortor prices.

      • Wasn't it the other argument? Bricks and mortar stores couldn't compete with online?!

        • Try and send a book internationally for under $5 including cost of the book and see how you fair. In fact even try and send within Australia! IMO The old argument about bricks and mortar does not hold as the costs or postage/convenience can in some cases outweigh the costs of having a physical presence.
Especially when postage is included in the price which is essentially accounting for half the price of a low sub $20 item.

In any case we all get to choose whether to conveniently order one particular item online and accept a price including delivery or we can opt to search all the local bricks and mortar outlets for a cheaper price.

          • @Karijini: You can blame AustPost and its cronies for that. They see you as nothing. A sheep needing to be milked.

It is very cheap for big business and other countries to send things using AusPost. You think Amazon is paying what a normie would? Do you think a $1 Chinese eBayer using AustPost is paying the Normie rate? Of course not.

          • @Karijini: Yes this was my point, shop around first for what's cheapest and most convenient for us 🙂
