Just wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a signup bonus from AMEX for a Charge card when they've already had a regular Credit Card with AMEX within the past 18 months?
I closed my regular CC with them a few months ago and am planning on applying for the Plat Charge, but it only makes sense if it comes with a signup bonus.
I recall a long time ago the signup bonuses used to be separate for Credit Cards and Charge cards, is that still the case?

Around 6 years, i signed up for an amex card to get the 100,000 points bonus. After a year and a couple of months, I cancelled the card. Around 8 months later applied for the card again and also got the 100,000 bonus points. There is a waiting period between cancelling and applying for a new card to get the bonus (i think it is 24 months) but i still got the bonus.
Used to be the case but believe they changed that a few years back, looking at the current condition it says any card product issued by Amex; best call them to confirm though.
no not that im aware of. best get the main card in another persons name like your partner
