Caught my eye as it won the bedbuyer best value review for a non mattress-in-a-box. However, their review read like an advertisement and don't think mentioned any cons.
Has anyone bought and tried one? What were your thoughts? I'm tossing up between the Sherman and a Sleep Republic. They're a similar price but the Sherman supposedly has conventional springs and should be cooler.

How is the Sleeping Duck mattress compared to Sleep Republic?
I can't remark on the Sleeping Duck as I haven't tried it personally. The tech is different as well and price now for Sleeping Duck has gone up with their newer Mach II mattresses. Sleeping duck use a type of aero foam tech while the Sleeping Duck and Sherman use a hybrid of spring and foam from what I've heard.
And a lot of those 5 star reviews are paid reviews so take them with a grain of salt. That being said I'm happy with my Sleep republic mattress. The 100 day night guarantee is a game changer in my opinion (Ecosa, SD, SR, sherman, koala all offer it)
Wonder how easy would it be to returned though? May not be that easy to return a mattress especially if it's buyer's responsibility. Do you know the details of there terms and conditions around the guarantee?
I bought a Sherman, have had it for 8 months now and I'm pretty happy. It seems like a much more expensive style of mattress than what I paid. I had an Ecosa and it was hard as a brick. They make it sound so good online but it's just crummy foam and doesn't look anywhere as good compared to the pictures so I decided not to buy anything that comes out of a box.
Have a Sherman 'full body hug', purchased 18 months ago and have been very happy with it. The service from Sherman when we purchased it was fantastic. I remember they had a trial period and I am sure they would have been good to deal with if we had decided to return or exchange it, but I guess we haven't tested the theory as we have been happy to keep it!
After sleeping on the Sherman mattress for less than 2 weeks it developed an obvious dip to the point where I felt like I was sleeping in a hole, the mattress did not retract back to shape when not laying on it, Sherman insisted that I strip the bed back completely and take photos and measurements before actually doing anything even though I was still on the hundred night sleep trial,
I was expecting it to be much softer than it is which is a little disappointing, it is portrayed to be very plush and soft on the website to the point of feeling like you are enveloped when you lay on it, but it's definitely not as soft as that, it feels more like a medium firmness, it certainly didn't help my aches and pains from advanced osteoarthritis so if that's what you're looking for don't expect it,
I would not recommend this mattress at all,
Dealing with this company to have the mattress picked up, returned and a refund issued was a complete nightmare and extremely stressful, the company have no desire to work with the customer in regards to pick up time even though they were aware that I sleep during the day due to my hours, the transport company drop off and pick up anywhere between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. which is not convenient, also you are not advised of a 2-hour delivery or pickup time frame until sometime in the morning on the day, ridiculous given that delivery and pick up day is booked in well ahead of time so no reason why they can't tell you at least the day before, and the company should be able to work with the customer especially a disgruntled one but continue to repeatedly tell you that you purchased the mattress under their terms and conditions, also that the truck company that do the deliveries and pickups do not have contact with the customer from their truck and therefore cannot communicate or work with you on a more convenient time frame, which is a lie because I received the 2 hour time frame directly from the truck driver,
I absolutely would not recommend purchasing a mattress from this company !
I have a Sleep Republic Queen for a few years now. It is a great mattress. It has a 12 year warranty VS Shermans 10 years i believe. The 100 Night sleep guarantee is the same on the Sherman and Sleep Republic. And seems to have similar tech being Hybrid Spring. Though I think the Sherman is cheaper by $100 compared to Sleep Republic in Queen size.
