Bought Fitbit Charge 4 on Friday for $175 via AIA Vitality for wife.
I returned my Charge 4 for a refund and bought a Garmin forerunner 245 with music for $259.
The Charge 4 has GPS, but when you go running it ignores this and guesstimates your distance and speed on stride length instead of actual distance. That made it useless for me.
My wife doesn't run so Charge 4 is ok to track her steps w/o gps. Needed something cheaper for Vitality.
I have a Fenix 6 Sapphire which is amazing.

Battery life is good, and the app let's you track manual stuff too; so you can follow calories or such.
