Bezos is rich enough but these are regular, Japanese made AAA Eneloops. Can't resist.

Usually dispatched within 2 to 4 weeks.

  • What price do the chargers for these go for? Or doesn't it matter and any charger will do?

    • +3

I use the one from Ikea. Works well with both the Eneloops and the Ladda batteries.

      https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/tjugo-battery-charger-with-stor…

$25 or $15 with new member $10 coupon.

I think you need a decent one that can not only recharge but also recondition and maintain your eneloops.

The charger that I've had for years is this one

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Powerex-MH-C9000-WizardOne-Charger…

Not sure what else on the market might be better these days.

      • How does it recondition?

        • +17

Lathers head and shoulders on the battery terminals.

      • My C9000 is roughly 10 year old and still going.

      • +1

Using this charger as well, had it quite a few years now so real value for money - has brought a few batteries back to life in it's time with the reconditioning function.

If it broke tomorrow I'd more than likely replace with same.

I bought my charger from here:

        https://www.protog.com.au/photography/batteries-chargers/bat…

edit: The MH-C9000 looks to be superseded by the new MH-C9000PRO

The main improvements of the MH-C9000PRO over the original MH-C9000
Memory Functions: remember the last settings used for each slot
Easy Setup: you can set one slot and apply the same settings to all slot
Compact size: much smaller than the original MH-C9000 charger
Large backlit display now has an ON/OFF option, ideal for overnight charging

        • I have to agree, mines been fine. I think mine was purchased from eBay Germany.

        • Got my Maha Powerex MH-C401FS from protog around 10 years ago. Still going strong with a mix of Ladda, Eneloop and Aldi NiMH

  • What about the AA? :)

  • Thanks OP. Was starting to go through a lot of (mainly) AA batteries due to influx of kids toys.

  • What was the best price back in the Dick Smith Rainbow and Mocha days? I kinda remember about $1.50 per cell, I think? Cheap enough to pair all my rainbows anyhow.

  • +1

According to camel camel, its been around the discount price since September 2020

  • can some suggest a cheaper rechargeable one for solar lights pls?

  • +2

Aldi have a 4 pack of AA or AAA for 5.99 if memory serves me correctly.

    • thanks

    • +2

My experience with Aldi rechargeable batteries not as good as eneloop, it dies on my after using it around 6 months

    • Aldi told me stopped selling rechargeables. Pity.

  • Don't we get higher mAH batteries from other competitors on Amazon? So what makes these 800mAh better than a 2000mAh?

    • Are you sure you are comparing same sizes?

    • +1

Yea, even Ikea ladda 900mah and it's only $12.99 for 4

  • +3

Why do people bother with these just get Ladda from IKEA, same thing but cheaper.

    • Apparently, shipping. But i'm lucky enough to live around 5-6km from one which I can just bike too. (decathlon is near there too) Only thing… many hills

      • +1

A business idea, perhaps you will be able to bulk buy and ship it to everyone with a cheaper shipping cost? :)

        • That would be a good idea. Not sure if IKEA will let you bulk buy from them just to resale elsewhere though XD. Delivery for the laddas is just $9. So most of the time, they are better than the eneloop deals especially when you consider they have greater battery capacity than the ones listed here. Laddas are rebranded eneloop pros.

    • Oooh thanks for that will make my way to IKEA theb

    • +1

Ladda stocks are a problem. After seeing this post I was looking for some. No AA stocks at IKEA Springvale.

      • yeah, couldn't find any in-store a couple of weeks ago. couldn't be bothered driving back there again just to try my luck.

  • Would I be able to charge these using the Duracell charger in the link below;

    https://www.duracelldirect.com.au/pno/cef14-au.html

  • I’ve never bothered with AAA rechargeables in the past as the only thing I use them in is my TV component remotes (TV uses AA) and they tend to last 12 months + anyway.

    Still +1 for the price!

May get 1 set of 4 as I already have an energizer charger that will charge 2 x AAA’s and 4 x AA’s at once.

    Similar to this one.
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/energizer-maxi-battery-charger_p…

  • Far out. Why do I keep missing out on this? lol
I just bought a charger to get in on the hype 😖

    • "Far out. Why do I keep missing out on this?" Ditto, never seem to catch the email alarm.

  • How does this compare to the pro's?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/598841

    Cheaper, but add delivery? :S

    • -1

the pros can take many more rechargess before dying

      • They also have a higher capacity?

But the only con is that they charge a delivery fee?

But the pro is that they actually have stock?

      • +1

no the pros take fewer charges but are higher amphours

  • ….But not as rich as Elon! 😮

    • Time will tell. The rich list does fluctuate. Over next decades Elon could go up bigtime or may come down.

  • Gone. Never thought rechargeable batteries would sell out.

  • 4 pack OOS 10:54 AM

  • You can buy the AAA 4 pack from ebay lithuanian seller $15.29 delivered. I've bought before and they are the Japanese ones.

  • If you can get over $49 for free prime international shipping, there is an 8-pack available on Amazon UK for $27. That's almost the same price as the Laddas.

  • Waiting for costco eneloop deal.
