  • Historical low was $16?

    Normal price

    • +1

Maybe OP should look at camel and understand what it means .

    • Yes I actually bought some last week at this price and was sad that I wasn't getting a deal.

      We needed toilet paper though.

  • -8

Its not really that cheap per roll.

Woolworths has 36 rolls for $14 which works out to be $0.39 per roll.

The Amazon deal works out to be $0.40 per roll

    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/859246?goo…

    So no deal for me.

    • S&S = 40c/roll.

Edit: you didn't have the S&S price when I first read your comment.

      • +4

        and free delivery with Prime.

      • So S&S price doesn't occur when it goes to about $3 cheap ?
Of course camel doesn't show that !

    • +4

guess theres some benefit in having it delivered rather than lugging it home. thanks for doing the maths though!

      • Still, there are WW egift cards, and you can get container credits if thats your thing.

        • +1

there are amazon egift cards too.

          • @aec: Are they widely accessible without memberships?

        • +2

Container credit is a really useless promo.. why can't they simply pass on that amount as an extra value to customer maybe in form of Rewards points or something more useful?

          • +2

@virhlpool: Better than a knife promo. Have enough.

      • Won’t be accused of hoarding if no one can see you buy it. So that’s one big plus. jk

    • Cashback 6% i believe.

      • +8

        No cashback with S&S

    • So when will Woolworths have that price on sale? I can't find it on their catalog.

      • Exactly explains the number of negs on his comment. That price is not available now and not sure when will.

  • +18

Remember when you couldn’t get this stuff, and getting some felt like you’d just landed a PS5

    • +4

Yep. I was actuially fearful carrying a 20 pack back to my car back in April/May… thought I would get jumped for it…seriously.

      • +3

        Absolutely!!

I remember some stores used to escort the elderly to their cars, in case some young punk tried to snatch their bum paper

        • Wow, that's truly sad 😔

          • @Click_It: I hear you mate.

It was heartbreaking enough seeing all the footage on the news of the elderly standing in aisles with empty shelves.

To think that someone would take off with an elderly persons stuff in the middle of an epidemic, makes my blood boil

    • +2

In March Amazon accidentally somehow sent me TP instead of what I ordered.. Ended up being pretty handy after they resent what I actually ordered.. 😀

    • +5

      PS5ply

      • +1

        Haha !!

  • Anyway for me they use to send it in a box then the TA's sent it in a satchel . Costing me a box I value around $2.50 : (
I know don't cry for me guys .

    • +1

If you reuse the box then yes its good, but otherwise its just more unnecessary waste generated.

      • -1

Why do you think I use to value the box at $2.50 ?

Anyway the satchel they send them in now is landfill garbage .
They have changed from plastic to paper for the padding protection I guess to please the Greenies .

        • How is a world without unnecessary plastic waste (stupendous waste in the case of those plastic air cushions Amazon liberally stuffed in a box) a “Greenie” thing?

Why would you want to just keep just chucking out something that won’t break down for thousands of years?

Yeah I’d also like in on your Amazon box selling business.

  • If you subscribe and save, can you cancel it after receiving it the first time?

    • Yes

  • Ordered, Thanks!

  • +1

I bought it for $15.74 in July 2020.

  • +1

They were at $20 for a while already

  • +3

Sadly after going 4 ply I cant go back…I have a snobby ass now :(

    • +1

I prefer the double length rolls. Changing half way gives me the sh1ts

    • +1

I had a plumber tell me he loves 4 ply also, endless work unblocking toilets.

    • +1

You can't spell Class without ass :)

  • +1

I've been on subscribe and save for this 45 pack for well over a year. Even during Covid peak they still sent it out to me.

  • -5

last lot (45x pack) we got was not the same quality as coles/woolies. its definitely a cheaper rougher paper quality
wont be buying quilton from amazon again

    • Our experience was the opposite! Maybe they have the odd average batch and has nothing to do with specific retailer stock?

    • Maybe a bad batch ? But I swear the Coles 3 ply 20 pack feels more like 2 ply (or even 1.5 ply) compared to the Woolies 24 3 ply pack. Since the toilet paper hoarding of 2020, it seems like they're made differently (rolls have fewer squares… that or I'm just going more often).

  • +6

I remember sending one of these as a birthday present to a friend during peak covid. It even gives you gift message and wrapping options.

  • +2

I know im effectively sacrificing 5 rolls but I much prefer the 20 x Double Length for about the same price. Less roll changing is a win in my book.

    • Also less resource wastage - packaging, rolls etc.

      • +1

But less to brag about when you tell your friends how many spare rolls you got in storage

  • I've been noticing my rolls getting split between the different ply for a section of the rolls. It's really annoying when they don't stay together. Have yet to open my Costco rolls. Costco sells 48 pack for $18.

  • Ordered. Thanks O. P.

  • We have had it as a subscription for ages (well before the panic buying) so we never had to fight like other people for toilet paper just other food stuff instead

    • +1

Smart cookies unsubscribe as fast as possible because prices change vastly and not for the better :)

      • I do keep an eye on the prices from my subscriptions and if they go up I cancel my sub and wait till the prices go down again

Like the cat food i get from amazon it went up for my next order and I canceled it and resubscribes at the cheap price

  • Thanks op. Finally could use my $5 credit from gift card promo last month.

  • Do they wrap the toilet paper in packaging plastic film or send in a box? i don't really want my toilet paper to get stolen as most times the Amazon courier dumps all their parcels in our apartment lobby?

    • box from my memory.

      • +4

Our cat loves amazon we get the toilet paper and she gets the box to play in :)

    • The one I ordered last week came in one those courier bag things.. a massive one.

  • +1

Woolie selling $14 for pack of 36 that is $0.22 / 100SS. slightly cheaper

  • Hmm… wondering if anyone can answer this regarding Amazon. I currently have a subscribe and save already setup for this product. to order this immediately will i have to just create a new subscription?

    • Yea just create a new subscription and cancel the old one.

  • Get in fast if in Vic right now .
