Hi guys, am was doing my timing belt done and now left to do is tightening crankshaft pulley. Do you guys have idea how tight it should be. Its 1.6l engine, bolt is about .7 cm. No response on other forms yet so asking here. Thanks
Torque Specs for Crankshaft Pulley

Just type what you asked in here in google with the car make, model and year. Also check if you need to replace the bolt. Some need to be replaced and can come loose or cause wobbles if re-used.
No one cAn say without knowing what vehicle it is. The engine size has little bearing on what the manufacturer recommends.
The harmonic balance bolt is possibly/likely torque to yield. If it is it should not be reused. The reliability of these bolts once stretched is greatly reduced, if they are reused, they are permanently stretched further a second or third time. It is for this reason, you should never re torque a torque to yield bolt.
Fine thread, coarse thread? Grade 8.8 or 10.9? Did it come out with thread locker on it? Are you going to lube the bolt or just put it in dry (giggity) 0.7cm seems quite small for a crankshaft bolt, 8mm is the metric size, and even that sounds too small.
Or, like everyone else says, make and model would help.
A 1.6 litre engine and .7 cm bolt, I suggest tightening it to 42.
the only true answer.!
42 what ft lb or nM?
it's a joke from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. 42 is the answer to life.
Type "(vehicle make) (vehicle model) (engine code) torque specs" into Google, seeing as you can't give us even this basic information.
"Keep tightening till it goes loose, then back it off a half turn."
After googling… check that the torque is for your exact engine. American results are usually first. As it's a small bolt, it may even need inch pounds vs ft pounds eg less than 8nm.
RIP SqueezeMePlz's engine
Torque varies for each engine, but a few ugga duggas should do it
Make and model of car/engine?
