What Has Happened to PayPal Customer Support?

I have been trying to resolve a dispute with one of the Vendor who has charged wrong amount since Nov 2020.

The Customer support agent are only available on Message Center where they take hours to respond. The Agents have asked multiple time to raise a dispute for same case every time it had been declined by PayPal without any proper explanations.

Is there are any way of escalating issues for proper responses?

Or I got a feeling that they would not like to go against Big vendors!!!

I have screen shots of the responses they have given and you will see how unbelievable their responses if I am allowed to upload.

    You should always go through the Resolution Centre for cases: https://www.paypal.com/disputes/

    This maintains a track record in writing and offers options to escalate once a certain period of time has elapsed with no resolution. There is no favoritism for 'big vendors'.

    As I mentioned, I have logged two case as instructed by the Paypal agents one after the other . Later the Cases have been declined in favor of the Vendor. I contacted Message Center for further explanations, then the Agents agreed that I had a valid case and they have raised as an appeal in the Back-end. then again they all have been declined without proper explanations. In the last Message Center chat, I have been ignored by closing the Chats without any replies.

    They haven't offered any option for escalation. They just agreed to what I have uploaded as proof for the dispute and raised same case again and again when declined.

    As I said, if you could see my screenshots You would find how hilarious their responses.

    I'm surprised that PayPal let you raise a dispute again after closing the first one as AFAIK the rules have normally been 1 transaction is 1 dispute. Once closed a dispute can't be reopened.

    Did you pay for the disputed item with plastic through PayPal? If you did your card issuer/bank may be able to action a charge back for you.

    "Hi good day. I am sorry for the outcome of the case Upon reviewing the case case I can see that it was handled by our back office team. I can see here that the reason why the case was close was because the amount of the transaction was the same, meaning to say there is no error. However it is not the end yet, I advise you to file a chargeback case with your card issuer. What will I do is I will relay information that is needed when they start investigating the case. Once again I am sorry for the outcome of the case but I am looking forward for you to get your claims. I will also take note of this matter to the case."

  • OP making huge assumption here thinking PayPal ever had any Customer Support.
