PC Parts Recommendation for 1440p Gaming

Want to build a RTX 3070 or 6800xt based gaming PC that is bottelneck free, quiet and fast and can handle 144p gaming. Not into CPU overclocking or water cooling or any of that RGB shit.Considring open air casing if it hepls cooling. Also preferring motherboard with some spare pci-express slot for network card and sound card.

I already have a 2k 144hz monior.

Please help me with best value for money part list. Want to build myself and I am experienced in it.

Thank you!

    Budget?

    I like the AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

    • under 2k ideally

      • does that include the monitor? under $2k is a stretch then

        • No I have 2k moniter already

Sorry but I dont value RGB as it does not improve the computing or graphical performance of the PC.

Rgb adds 10 frames per second for each component with rgb

If you were experienced in it, you should be able to do your own research and decide what parts best fit your budget.

    • I am experienced in assembling, but not experienced in finding the best fit-for-need parts. Hence asked the question.

So you don't know how to do your own research?

        • Yes I am doing research through this forum post :)

  • Go a 3080 if you're playing 1440p.

  • Considring open air casing if it hepls cooling.

    It doesn't.

    under 2k ideally

That'll be a struggle considering the video card will be a little over half that. There will be some sacrifices but that's part and parcel of working with a budget.

It might help if you mention the kinds of games (or specific games) you want/planning on playing.

    • all the AAA titles

  • 3060 Ti is fine for 1440p, particularly if your total budget is $2k. You're not getting a 6800xt anytime soon with that budget.

You don't need anything more than a 3600 if you're gaming at 1440p.

If you require a 1440p / 144 Hz monitor, you need to add about $400.

This is roughly what I'm looking at for a near future m-atx build…

    • Thanks. I have 144hz moniter already

  • Try a second hand 1080ti instead of 3060ti to shave off a couple hundred but lose ray tracing.
