  For anyone wondering it's not actually a Persona 5 sequel, this is a Dynasty Warriors type of game.

    Incorrect, this is a direct sequel to the events of Persona 5. just as persona 4 arena (a fighting game) was a sequel to persona 4, it just so happens that this is a sequel that has Dynasty Warriors type combat.

      The word you're looking for is spinoff. It's a Persona 5 spinoff and Arena was a Persona 4 spinoff with some Persona 3 for added flavour.

        This is a sequel my dude, it's a direct extension of the story from p5. Whether you played the game, watched the animation, or read the manga this is a sequel to those events…

        the dancing and Q games if anything are more spinoffs though still canon

          @BrainSand: Hey mate, is the Royal edition required knowledge for this do you know?
          The base game took me about 160hrs, don't know if I would ever have the time or patience to do another play of the enhanced version with even more content :O

            @Stoibs: Strikers is a sequel to the original P5, not P5R so you wouldnt need any knowledge from Royal.. I wonder though why as P5R had a pretty big impact to the story.
