Hey guys,
I assure you I did a search of the forums before posting this question.
So, I apologise in advance if this question has already been answered, and I somehow missed it.
My question is very much similar to the following user: @BilboBargains, which remain unanswered.

I had to return an item to Amazon AU, and I chose the Amazon Account (i.e. gift card balance) option without thinking too much about it at the time.
For my next purchase, if I use my Amazon Account balance will cashback be void?
If the credit was (originally) added to your account by way of a virtual / physical gift card, using it won't invalidate your cashbacks
So if you bought a gift card, applied to your account, spent it on something but later cancelled and refunded it to the gift card, using the gift card credit again will not invalidate cashback.
But be aware that Promotional Credit, which is a special type of short expiry credit typically given to you by Amazon (usually for free / apology for non-delivery etc) these will invalidate cashback
