Will my qualifications be taken away if I don't believe whatever I'm told to believe?

better off doing something like this:

Now that's an excellent link. Thank you.

Wow! Suddenly feel ~US$260,000 richer. What a bargain 👌

    • which high yield investment vehicle are you thinking of buying?

      • Hahaha, thinking of buying couple of camrys and stack them together. Lol

  • Excellent deal but even more interesting comments.

  • Wow. 2021 really is the year of the linux desktop.

I wish I could use a thunderbolt cable and upload all this into my brain. Looks like an awesome course though!

  • Serious question. How long will take it get proficient in Python?

And would this be easy to learn for someone who has zero programming background?

    • +3

Look into a CodeAcademy Python course as it allows you to code in browser. It can be a little complicated to create a functional Python environment if you're on Windows.

Often learning coding is about learning the concepts/principles first (e.g. object-oriented or procedural programming) and then applying those concepts within the relative language, just adjusting for syntax.

Python is a great starting language as it is a simplified language, but think about why you want to learn and what for, then find the relative course/tutorial online and go for it.

I highly recommend Microsoft Visual Studio Code for most programming, especially in dark mode with a custom theme. Very fun.

      • Thank you appreciate the info and recommendations. Will look into both online course and Visual Studio.

    • I think it's called parseltongue.

Yes python is one of the easiest programming languages.

Proficient depends, I would say 3 months to have a good understanding of how the language works and how to approach problems.

  • Just as I get into my CompSci course…

  • Nice post OP

    Resume:

    IT degree complete
    School: YouTube

    lol

  • Yay, Statistics & Calculus. Now I have something better to do than Netflix's and chill. Thanks OP

    • Professor Leonard videos helped me with my statistics at uni 😊

      • As someone who went through Uni in the early 2000s, you guys really have it good now with YouTube, etc. Are tutors extinct or what?

        • Man I know uni isn't meant to be spoonfeeding. But my experience has been:
Professor reading off slides and/ not able to explain stuff clearly.

Luckily it was another professor at the same uni who had her lectures uploaded and was awesome.

For statistics personally I just forgot alot of the stuff I hadn't used in a long time. Then again 80% or more students failed their 1st assignment.

  • Wow thank you, this is pretty good.

  • Thanks OP :)

  • Ugh.. So now I wasted two years completing a diploma in this stuff.. Shame on me!!

  • This looks great! Four years though =O Hope it stays free long enough for me to complete it!

    Are there any (recommended) pre-requirements?

    Sorry - double post.
