I have never used a mouse with a laptop but I m getting rsi so need to change to a mouse. I am new to this and have no idea, should I get a wireless? I would prefer a plug in one as that is what I used on the library computer., I am going to officeworks soon so I will be able to get it then. Thanks. If you are not interested or dont know please do not reply thanks.

Wired might be better for you, as you don’t need to worry about getting batteries or recharge it.
microsoft has a good classic one. research it. it's on their ebay.
Hello, yes, regular wired ones are good. I find that if I accidently knock it off my desk, the cable catches it before it hits tiled floors :D. Yeah around the $20-$40 mark is good, and should last you 2-3 years. Better yet, get a $50 RRP one marked down to $20.
I have linked two mice you can consider.

Also maybe get a ergo mouse pad to support your wrist. Might be cheaper ones. https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/j-burrows-…
Put your hand on them and see what works for your hand.
Realistically a $20 one would do you fine
