  • So there also seems to be a sale running for 81% off the 2yr plan. $3.21/m totals to $77.04 for that time, brought down to $7.70 with cashback. I think I should just jump on this for the couple of times a year I actually need a VPN. Great post.

  • seems like a ok deal for VPN

  • have been using surfshark for some time now, very happy. I bought it on a 90% off deal and have not regretted it at all.

  • Does anyone know if this vpn will this work with international netflix and the Argentina google premium deal?

  • How are the speeds?

  • Is anyone able to give me a crash course in this? The first thing I tried after signing up was Netflix - the android app seems to only show Australian content but if I go in via the browser it looks to be US.

    • I have the same experience, and I really only need it on the app not the browser.

    • I signed up a couple of months ago during the last deal. Personally, I don’t use it. I can’t watch overseas Netflix content (or Prime, or Disney+) through Android app on TV. I have a NVIDIA Shield (older version). As others have said, overseas Netflix works if you use a web browser on PC/Mac (works on Chrome and Safari).

Actually, I’ll clarify and say that android app sometimes works but it only lets you watch original Netflix shows. If you select a non-original Netflix show (e.g. Breaking bad), it will detect that you’re using a vpn and won’t let you stream it.

Get it if you don’t mind watching on your laptop. Otherwise give it a miss. If someone can explain to us how to circumvent the problem with Android app, that would be great.

      Cheers,
      S

PS overseas Prime does not work on web browser, as far as I can tell.

  • Isnt there monthly a bit on high side? 16.71 AUD..

    • The best rate was to go through Cash rewards which would give you a biannual rate of around 74 for the entire two years, and then cross fingers Cashrewards tracks the 90% off that. Mine has worked - so it's 30c per month. (plus a few cents for whatever currency conversion fee I was slugged, but it was cheaper to go credit card than the 10% GST on paypal)
