    Previous transaction didn’t track

  • +3

    No track. No bueno.

  • +2

Never had an issue with tracking but others have.

Also, check your Flybuys app as I had a "Spend $100 get 2000 bonus points" offer available as well.

  • +3

No thanks, they have declined previous transaction

looking like the end of the road for these guys

  • All my other orders have been tracked. I never get the full $25 cashback though, its always been $24.55..

    • GST?

      • Its just confusing, my order total was AUD 135.00

        • Oh I see. Weird

        • +1

Not confusing at all. ShopBack calculates the cashback on the ex-GST value of the purchase. So to max out the cashback on a 20% upsize you need to spend

          $25÷0.20×1.1 = $137.50

For your spend of $135 the cashback is

          $135×0.20÷1.1 = $24.5454…

which rounds to the $24.55 you earned.

For a 22% cashback upsize you should get the full $25 cap as

          $135×0.22÷1.1 = $27

So, if you're getting $24.55 cashback when the rate is 22%, then it looks like ShopBack are incorrectly using 20% to calculate it.

I still can't get my order from January 4th tracked/acknowledged, even though my click through shows on their website. (on my account profile history)

So I've overpaid on my order by $25 , meaning Dan Murphy would have been cheaper.

With the number of people claiming the same thing. I'm calling this a potential dodgy at this point unless I start to see some outputs.

I'm struggling to get mine back from 28/11, did everything by the book, so not happy at all, dispute is still in place.

      • Just received a reply saying it's been rejected for a second time. Just withdrawn what funds I have and will stay away from Shopback. I followed the instructions 100% so not happy at all, over $20 lost.

Tracking is the shambles with this mob

  • +3

Yeah always get the BS excuses email on why it didn't track.

Interesting, I used CR exclusively for years, but have never received one of CRs targetted offers. Don't like the concept of 'targetted offers' so tried shopback.

So far 11/11 transactions have tracked, but I haven't been paid yet. That will be the final proof.

The tip I got to always update the app before using seems to work. Which reminds me, better update before 12

  • Can we make multiple orders or is it limited to one transaction per SB user?

  • The Asahi 24pk is still on special at $65. After cashback, that's $53 for 24x500ml. Normal price is like $75-$80. It's a good drop with wide appeal.

    • Shows $69 for me

      • +1
ACT NSW NT QLD SA TAS VIC WA
        Bought at $69 $69 - $68 $68 $65 $65 $68
        Less CDS $66.60 $66.60 - $65.60 $65.60 $65 $65 $65.60
        and Cashback $54.05 $54.05 - $53.24 $53.24 $53.18 $53.18 $53.24

The different prices are due to a CDS (Container Deposit Scheme). Those states that don't have one yet (TAS & VIC) will sell at a lower retail price. Those that do will sell at a higher price to offset the 10¢ per container refund ($2.40 total for a 24pk) and the CDS running costs.

The extra $1 difference amongst the states that do have a CDS would most likely be due to a combination of different CDS implementation costs, rounding, and marketing decisions.

        • Makes sense now

Gonna give this another go, if it doesnt track, deleting SB acc.

  • Aaargh missed it by 8 minutes

Edit: lmao didn't even seem to track anyway

  • +2

Wow I thought it was just me. Shopback has become horrendous at tracking my orders now and I even have their extension installed. Submitted a claim for my last FirstChoice order but it was declined. Giving them one last try.

    • +1

      Order didn't track.

I chose click and collect so I'm just not going to pick it up and get the refund instead. Not sure if the issue is on Shopback or First Choice, but my tinfoil hat theory is they're advertising huge cashback deals frequently but by the time your cashback gets declined and investigated, you're too late or too lazy to return your order.
