Bonus $21 Cashback with 3 Transactions (Min Spend $20/Transaction) at 3 Different Stores (Inc. Gift Card Portal) @ Cashrewards

570

Just got this email. Check eligibility via link.

Make 3 purchases, with each min spend being $20. Transactions must be made at different stores. I believe you can just make 1 or 2 transactions and still be eligible for the first 1 or 2 bonuses.

You can even buy a gift card and get the cashback, but that counts as 1 store so you’ll need to spend $20 at the other stores to get the remaining

Transaction 1 - $3 cashback
Transaction 2 - $7 cashback
Transaction 3 - $11 cashback

I can't even get my normal transactions to be accepted. I wonder how much luck I'll have with this.

Btw, what happens to cash rewards I don't withdraw? I had a small amount of twenty something and it disappeared after a while. I didn't know if lose it otherwise I would have withdrawn it.

yea its in the terms that your cashback gets forfeited after 12 months of inactivity but just contact their support, and they should be able to get it back for you

Thanks for this information mate. I'll follow up. Better in my pocket than theirs :)

Thanks for this. I did not realise CashRewards did this and now looking back at my CashRewards account I can see payments like the following where CashRewards must just take the money away

        31 Oct 2017 Cashrewards 31/10/2017 AUD0.00 AUD -37.47

No money going to be forfeited emails either. I foolishly thought the money/credit just sits in the account until you are ready to take it out. I had no idea the fine print for Cashrewards stated the credit/money is forfeited if not pulled out after 12 months if you don't do a click through.

        Here is the fineprint

Cancellation and rewards expiry for non-use (Inactive Accounts)

We reserve the right to cancel your membership and your Account, and terminate your use of the Service, with 7 days' notice, if your membership Account becomes Inactive. Your Account becomes “Inactive” if you do not log in to the Website and click through to a merchant's website at least once in any 12-month period. To prevent your membership account from becoming Inactive, it is sufficient for you to simply log in to the Website and click through to a merchant's website a minimum of once in any 12-month period.

I generally only use these cashback sites for big purchases - rather than little transactions where you get a dollar back.

Dodgy - Shopback does the same thing …

        Termination of Account
The Cashback accumulated in your ShopBack account shall expire if your account remains inactive (i.e. no successful transactions are made through ShopBack) for a period of more than a year. ShopBack reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account in accordance with Clause 13 below or where it is necessary or reasonable to do so in order to comply or satisfy and law, regulation or court order.

I wonder how many people have lost funds as a result of this.

        • Flybuys also does this.

Update - CashRewards also made good on the funds that were removed from my account as a sign of good will. That was unexpected and much appreciated.

    • The gift card purchase should be an easy track…

    • Update: don't let tightarse's alias fool you. He is in fact very generous. He was kind enough to follow up on my forfeited funds and reverse it. And he confirmed I was in fact sent an email but I guess I didn't see it so my mistake.

    • The link below is considered one store, so any purchase from that link qualifies - but only for one of the three bonuses. You cannot buy more gift cards to qualify for the other two bonuses - you must shop at different stores. Hope this helps.
