Was about to get a couple of these from JB for $138 but found them a bit cheaper on Amazon.

  They are way too dark to see, as there’s no build in back light. It’s done on purpose to conserve battery life. Kids tried it on-for 5 minutes and did not want to use it afterwards. Ended up returning it.

      Looking at Xiaomi, it’s cheaper and the AMOLED display looks nice. And tons of band. Kids had ok it so far.

    Exactly this.
    I bought my godson the Fitbit ace 2 instead. The vivofit was too dark. It's silly

    Vivofit JR 2 has backlight. Quite surprise you are saying this new version doesn’t have it. The display looks fine and easily readable.

    My son has the previous version, holding the button for half a second activates the backlight. I’d be surprised if this one wasn’t the same.

      There are no backlight. You can hold it for as long as you like, it won’t make any difference. Go check online there are no video review on this product, all you have are website review with photo.

      I used it for one night before returning it to Amazon, and it was only 87 dollars posted to Australia.

        I thought it had no backlight as well, but the kids just held the button for a second and the light comes on.

  not that im the target market, but the old model looked a lot nicer….
