A remake of a classic that actually improves on the original. Still using the Foster/Fostex biocellulose driver (as also seen in E-MU and Denon headphones), renowned for its bass delivery, and still wired. These are regarded as being a more detailed revision, while still offering the same slightly v-shaped sound signature.

A warm-sounding headphone with a limited soundstage, but it remains incredibly good value in this price range. The earcups on these are a little on the small side, but they should fit almost everybody.

If you're not fussed about bluetooth and not looking to push above $100, these are great value. Enjoy!

    Hell yes they are!!!! Wow.

Only problem is dual sided cable.

Why oh why would you do that? Makes wearing them around your neck on a daily basis so much more prone to snagging.

If anyone has a disassembly guide, ill mod them to single side.

    • Dual sided cable is a deal breaker for me…

  • might be an irrelevant question but jasswolf are you an audiophile yourself?

      Yup!

  • How do these compare to the QC35 for desktop listening?

I have a creative X3 amp and I plug in my qc35's via 3.5mm (much better than playing over blue tooth).

    I wish I could try before buying…

    • I've not hear the Bose in wired mode, but I'm assuming that the Bose either retains its sound signature or throws on even more bass, albeit with better detail than in bluetooth mode?

If the goal is a closed back with a clear upgrade in detail and tonality, I'd start with looking at the AKG K371, which is something you should be able to demo locally. Regularly drops to about $180 on Amazon AU via the Amazon UK listing.
