[PC] Pavlov VR $21.57 (Was $35.95) @ Steam

200

Got a message from Steam (thanks Steam) that an item on my Wishlist is on sale. As the title states, was $35.95 and now $21.57

All reviews as per Steam is Very Positive. I got a VR (Oculus Quest 2) as Xmas pressie and have been eyeing this game for a while now. Multiple sources recommended this game for that exclusive immersive experience.

Whilst my cable connected to Oculus quest 2 may hinder now and then but I think I'll be alright :)

LOVE this game. Last played it a couple years ago when it was pretty barebones, but even then it was worth the price of admission. I imagine it's evolved even more since then.

I play it on a 1060 and it plays fine.

The joke was that there's no such thing as a GTX 2080 haha.

But I have an RTX 2060 so it's good to know that your 1060 runs it well. Thanks!

  • Love a good Pavlova

  • Btw, you can get "Pavlov Shack" (barebones version) for free by sideloading it on Quest!

This game is probably the best multiplayer VR game I've played on VR 100% worth the money.

Dear lord, I have just started playing it on my VR for the first time and I can say that I will not be going back to multiplayer games very soon. This thing is INSANE in the Membrane !!!!!

  • Any big difference between the native Oculus version and the Steam/PC-based version?

Prefer native Oculus games/apps as I can play them at other people's houses without needing a PC.

    • the resolution is lower and optimised for the quest to be able to run it without issues.
That's about it really. Still the same game just not as good visually.

  • How is this different from the free one you can install via side quest? What about motion sickness? I am very much prone to motion sickness.

    • Same game as the normal Pavlov on oculus store/steam. Any games that has smooth locomotion will make you feel uneasy if you're not used to it. Better to stick with games that uses teleport until you get better at getting used to all the motion in VR. It takes times.

Me too, but I found drinking some ginger tea prior to playing helped out a lot. So much so that I didn't feel sick at all while playing Onward, which is a similar game. Also, with frequency of use I've found that I'm less bothered by motion sickness.
