How to Stop Bitcoin Spam?

I keep getting various "Bitcoin" emails that go directly to my Spam in my Yahoo account. I never open them but click "Block Senders" to delete them, but maybe the next day or beyond these emails will reappear again in Spam.

Does anyone know what else I can do to permanently delete these unwanted emails?

Thank you

  • Use a spam filter.

  • How do I do that?

If it already goes to your Spam folder then why not just ignore it?

  • Spam folder is doing it's job. Is it taking up space?

Can set up auto delete period

  • Why am I getting so many though I always delete, they keep reoccurring must be a way of blocking them permanently?

The only to block them permanently is to delete your email account.

A lot of these are sent from places like Russia or Nigeria where are no controls at all.

To control them in the future, one method is to only give out your real, actual email to trustworthy places like your Bank.

For other websites, you can use features like Yahoo's 'disposable email address' feature. Using this, you can create new email addresses, which you can provide to less reliable websites, where any emails received are sent to your main inbox, and you can also send emails with that disposable address. But if the spam on that address becomes too much, then you can just delete the disposable address, without affecting your 'real' underlying email address.

My issue is a lot worse. Outlook.com is so bad at detecting phishing attempts that it not only keeps putting them in my normal folder but also regularly places them in my "focused" inbox, giving me annoying notifications on my Android.

The phishing attempts are so bad that I think their artificial intelligence algorithms could do with some human intelligence.

And how did Kochie bitcoin spam get through for what seems like an eternity. I only just forgot about it.
