And except for a carrier logo, u ain't missing much
Well the Cartier also uses actual gold for the case
True. And ur paying 1000% mark up price for it. it's actually a lose not gain.
@nico8amy: I don't own one (Cartier) or know too much about it so I can't say much but it's all about perceived value from what I understand.
A grandseiko may be cheaper and better value than a Rolex but the Rolex will be perceived higher in value. Despite paying the 1000% mark up for the brand, the demand is stronger for a Rolex and pushes its price up. Even the used market for some Rolex are much higher than its retail price.
Maybe Cartier is similar?
@rian354252: The brand name is instantly recognizable but the resell value is unfortunately not that great. It runs into the same problem as the Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso: one of the few truly classic watch designs that have stood the test of time but also not sought after by watch enthusiasts or hypebeasts looking to flex. The rectangular shape and formal dress watch stylings limits the market by quite a bit.
Cheaper to order sup250 and sup880 from Amazon US site
It’s a lovely homage of the Cartier Tank
