Our 6 years old Miele vaccum died this week just outside the extended warranty period(who knew!). We just missed the boxing days sales I guess.
Could you please suggest a cordless vaccum machine with local warranty, not interested in robot vaccums. Thanks in advance.
Cordless Vacuum for under $400

How does it compare to Dyson V6 or V7?
It's like a dream(e).
Definite step up from the V6 which we replaced.
Love my Xiaomi cordless. Not sure how but it's picking up equal or more amount of stuff from my carpet vs my Miele with turbohead.
Bosch Readyy'y 2-in-1 Handstick Vacuum. The vacuum itself is at the bottom so you don't feel weight on your wrist. The price usually ranges between $199 to $230.
Purchased Dyson V7 from Bunnings a few months ago for $400. Coming from an older style Dyson, my wife loves it. I quite like it too.
They had taken it off their website for some reason but they were still selling it - not all stores had stock though.
Their are only 3 ([Good options- ]recommended by choice or previous recommendations)that meet your requirements.
1) Bosch athlet $299 bing lee. Or $350 good guys.
2) Dyson v7 can be bought for under $400 when on sale. Happens Fairly often
3) Vax blade 2 max $399
https://www.getprice.com.au/vax-blade-2-max-vacuum.htmAll above score deep clean(complete clean) scores of 75% or more from Choice magazine on carpet and are recommendations or previous choice recommendations.
I checked Vax blade 2 Max at Myer and was not very impressed with it. It couldn't pick up threads from carpet and when I checked the suction on my palm it didn't feel strong.
I guess I am spoilt having used a Miele.Well if you don’t like Vax. The only other Choice magazine previously recommended cordless vacuum that I know of for under $400
Dyson v7. Jb hifi $399 atm

Bosch Athlet Zoo has been perfect for our place, thin carpet with lots of cat hair, under $400.
The Bosch looks to have very wide vaccum head. Isnt it difficult to access narrow spaces?
Have the xiaomi dreame v9,
Seems better than Dyson's I have used and way better price when on saleI would go for a Dreame but the problem I need the vaccum right now and can't wait for the next sale.
Still under $400 - https://www.gearbite.com.au/products/xiaomi-dreame-cordless-…. I think it's come down $50 since last week when it was showing out of stock.
Can you comment more on the dreame V9 like how does it work on carpet and on say hard rough floors?
What is realistic run time and charging time like?
I am looking at the dreame V10 now as an option or any other current contender under $300 which is my absolute max budget.
Trying to keep the budget low as it will be only for work so if it gets damaged, stolen or lost I won't be replacing it again with another dreame V10 and just getting some budget value one instead.
My current biggest gripe or fear is leaving the vacuum left on charging when I leave the office as the place where I will be storing this vacuum I only visit twice a week and I am only really there for an hour or two at most so charging it when I am only there is not an option I will have to do overnight few days charge and obviously don't want to burn the workplace down or kill the battery.
Hey my wife and I love the v9.
Not that we keep overly focused on how long it lasts for but I find it does an awesome job. Never runs out in our largish 2 bedroom freestanding unit on the medium setting.
Personally waiting for the Xiaomi Dreame V9 to go on sale again.
