  • If its an older house they can start to do that.. either pay a carpenter/builder or get some nails and a hammer and follow the studs.. I've done it at my old place pretty easy

    • Thanks for reply . Im not that handy and not so sure abt the risk of fixing it Myself . Here are some pics to describe the condition better.

      • That doesn't look too bad doubt its land movement as you would see alot of cracking everywhere in the plaster and also in the brick work out side, a carpenter/builder can pin the gyprock back to the studs, sort it out sooner than later as more will start to become undone due to the weight

        • Thanks a lot for reply. So contact carpenter or plasterer to fix it? Not too sure who to call haha. Thanks again

    English to describe it better?

  • Ceiling replacement for double garage including taking away old gyprock and 2 coats of paint ~$3k.

  • more screws.
need to take away the cornices too, maybe have a right angle flashing screwed against the gyprock then glue the cornices back.
do it sooner, the gyprock sheet might not want to bend back.

    • Thanks for reply.I'm not sure which type of tradie I should call.Plasterer? Thanks

  • How old is house?
Older places used normal gyprock so over time moisture gets into the gyprock, making it heavier and so this happens.
    Rescrew or replace sagging area.

    • About 13 years old.I'm not sure which type of tradie I should call.Plasterer? Thanks

      • Yes - only some will do replacement (very dusty).

        • Thanks, we re contacting a plasterer. Hopefully we can fix it rather than replacing. Thanks again.
