  • Anything similar to quadlock OP?

    • Doesn't Quadlock need a case only they make ? So if you don't have a phone with one of the few brands they support, you're out of luck ? Where as this is a universal mount.

      • I'm aware of pros and cons of using quadlock

        • I was more asking if they needed a case :) or was there some universal adaptor QL had as well

          • @ruprectaus: ah right :) yeah they need a case and i guess that's the whole point if you enter their eco-system. The case having their integrated lock mechanism makes mounting/unmounting a breeze and latching feels a lot secure. I use it for my motorbike though as they offer vibration dampers and extensions. It's a tad bit expensive though so I have a regular mount on my bike..

      • No they don't. You need a mount and an adapter. The case integrates the adapter.

  • How does it compare with the ones sold on eBay?

  • +1

Very good quality iPad case from this brand.

  • Keen to get something for my off-road motorbike and on road motorcycle. Just get so worried my phone's going to end up sliding down the M5 motorway

    • Yeah im concerned if its being held by just the silicone band and my phone falls off from a bump while riding

      Also no wet weather protection

      • Hi, no worries. The main sprung clamp holds the phone very securely and there’s a rubber strap to add extra safety.

    • Get a quadlock with the vibration dampener. You'll thank me later. It's the best in the business and the new vibration dampener makes camera shake a non issue.
FYI also, I low sided my gixxer at Mac Pass two months ago, absolutely no damage to the quadlock or the phone.

      • bugger sorry to hear you low sided! Which mount did you have?

Bit of a difference with quadlock prices as it totals around 160 bucks with the vibration dampener + mount + case + wet weather cover

        • I had the stem mount as it's a gixxer, i.e supersport, stem mounts are the only ones that can be installed. Yes it is quite pricey, that's why I waited for their black Friday sale. Also bought the arm band for running and it's so damn good, no more using those crap pouch style arm bands.

  • Hi Op, is there a maximum recommend thickness for this? Currently I use a phone case for my S20+, Thanks.

    • +1

Hi, no worry about the thickness, it will hold almost all the universal phones including the S20+ with a case.

  • Does it have any vibration dampener? Quadlock old holders have a problem with vibration which will make the phones stabilisation system to stop working..

    • Quadlocks have now a vibration dampener and it's amazing. I waited for them to release it before putting my S20+ on my gixxer.

    • Hi chakkz, there’s a non-slip foam pad in the middle of the holder to reduce smartphone vibration and prevent drops and scratches. Hope this helps.
