    I run my business off my phone and my current device which is a borrowed iPhone 6 constantly crashes trying to use the apps I need/regularly use.

    or advice on how I should proceed, please let me know.

    I wouldn’t be stuffing around with a refurbished device for a money making business when the device is deductible and isn’t that expensive TBH.

        How much is the dud device costing you? If you'd purchased it new, it would have been swapped instantly.

    You paid using Paypal/CC? How about a dispute/chargeback?

      This. I would have used PayPal and submit a claim there. Always use PayPal when buying something where something could go wrong.

        Chargeback from bank seems to be faster than PP? Buyer protection from PP is valid for 6 months.

          Unfortunately my naivety got the better of my and paid with a Debit card. No PP or CC this time around.

            @flynnmonday: I thought you are able to request a chargeback for debit card transactions (as long as your payment was not processed as an eftpos SAV/CHQ transaction). I think it would be worth investigating further.

    The only reason we don't process refunds immediately in instances where the device can't be switched on is icloud and further assessment of foul play (not that I'm accusing you of it)

    Our devices go through 3 tier testing process (software testing via blancco, manual testing at the time of inventory, manual testing at the time of dispatch) to avoid situations like this hence when you mentioned that it was DOA, it would have sounded suss to the staff member at the store unless it damaged in transit somehow

    I'm off to bed now but will follow this up tomorrow for u and get a replacement or refund issued asap

    What used iphone are we talking for over $1K? If its a good business you can claim back gst and write it off for a few hundred more. iP12 $1329.
