Membership Refund Time Window?

Hi guys,
I bought a washing machine off Costco last week, it worked out a little bit (like $10 ish) more expensive than Appliance online but that’s with the membership and I thought oh well might just give it a chance.

So I dont really live close to it, but my relative house is near Casula Costco and I give it a drop by today after visiting my relative and find out that it’s not that much cheaper compare to my next door Aldi, and the thing/ that’s cheaper i prob never need a lot of it so i guess I hit a bad deal.

Then i just realised I could just refund the membership after I make sure the washing machine’s running fine. Any idea until when it’s allowed and what’s a reasonable reason to cancel it? Checked their terms but it seems not very helpful.

  Cancellation is anytime and fully refunded. You might get a short ban if you cancel close to expiry

      I've cancelled mine after 362 days before. Any time means any time.

      I haven't seen anything explicitly mentioning a renewal ban but last time I did it they joked "see you in a year" which suggests to me it might be a year. Easy enough to get a business membership or have your partner get one in the meantime anyway :P

        haha can you take turns with partner each year making membership and cancelling

        but adding each other as a household card as well

          @ATTS: At the time only one of us had a card and we lived at different addresses. Not sure how it would work if you issued the second card to the person that then took up the new membership. Try it and tell us :P

    Because that sounds too good to be true, and often things like that doesnt exist, cause it mean i can literally cancel it 3 days before expiry and get full refund if that’s what it mean, but i guess that’s their policy.

      It does say: if you are dissatisfied

      It's just like Domino's has/had a 100% satisfaction guarantee for their pizzas.
      So technically yes you could get a full refund for every pizza you purchase according to their policy too.

      Whether you do that or not is up to you.

  Just cancel it in 6 months or so.. use it for discounted petrol in the mean time.. and grab a few BBQ chickens and some mozerella sticks.

  Not all of the products are the same as Aldi, in fact, probably very few are. I don't necessarily find it cheaper than places like Aldi, but I find they have much better quality products at Costco, with some exceptions.

  You will save the membership fee easily just on fuel if you're near one with petrol regularly.
