How is 104g of chocolate for $2 $1.92 per kg? I think you mean $1.92/100g. It would be $19.20/kg

Local stores showing online as $7 each, no idea what in-store price is.

$20/kilo is pretty good for Lindt. At the moment I think this is something like $47/kilo at Coles.

A bar of Lindt on discount is around $30/kilo (and usually $50/kilo?)

Vegans will protest outside the store that it is in animal form

So many bored people need to find something to protest against

          I protest this comment

      • True, just like that lady who has been recently protesting in Perth outside butcher shops

      • Once they've made society as miserable as they are, they'll look around and find nothing left to whine about. So after a few weeks of withdrawal they'll start protesting themselves… and like the snake that eats its own tail, they'll disappear up their own ar…

  • Still half price, $7.50, @ BigW Jesmond.

Call me stingy, but how is $2 for 100g of chocolate cheap?

    • Because you're an Ozbargainer. Smart, not stringy.

    • +6

Allegedly used to be $15. It’s not about how cheap it’s about how much off RRP. This is the OzB way.

      • +5

        This is the way.

For Whittakers on the odd special at $4 per 250g is still a better deal IMO.

Lindt 100g slabs used to be $2 when on half price, so again, no real deal here.

      • +1

Really? I am a big fan of Lindt. Didn't know Whittaker could be as good.never had Whittaker's. No harm trying I guess

        • +2

          it's not as good

          • @[Deactivated]: Depends on what tickles your fancy. I'd put Lindt slightly above Whittakers, but if Whittakers worked out cheaper per 100g I'd go for it. Especially the coconut one.

A 100g Lindt bar disappears very quickly between my wife and I.

  • Guess it's time for the discount on Christmas stuff… my local coles had the hot cross buns out on the 27th of december..

  • Still half price, $7.50 @ BigW Werribee Vic

next christmas gift sorted. bet it won't taste different by then

    • sure and I bet it was last years stock

      • Ignoring the gift part.. it would have a shelf life of a year.. and Lindt is pretty good even after a few months..

        • -1

Most Christmas Lindt stock actually expires at the end of March.

Source: sold them for five years

          • @kerfuffle: Do they actually expire that soon, or is it to stop people selling them next Christmas?

            • @t25: They probably get made in July so that they're on the shelves by September. Easter Lindt usually has an expiry date of July or August.

  • as far as i can tell it's a tin with chocolate inside not a foil wrapped chocolate bear so i guess $2 for a tin to store shit in with some free chocolate?

  • Unsure what a bear has to do with Christmas but cheap Lindt!

  • Any proof of this deal OP? Receipt or picture?
