Burger Patty Press, for Regular and Mini Sized Patties

So I need some burger patty presses, just the manual things you stamp down on would do probably. But there's so many different kinds and some have bad reviews even though they all look the same to me. I'll be pressing them and freezing them, though sometimes I'll cook them fresh if I don't have any frozen on hand. Want to press them thin like McDonald's hamburger patties. Don't need half an inch thick patties, people in my house get enough red meat as it is. And a thin patty tastes better anyway.

I mean a press for forming minced beef into round burger patties. They cook better from frozen.

Yeah, use the base of the saucepan or whatever to press the ball or whatever shape you initially form flat to a patty as thin as you want. All you need to a sturdy flat surface to use to press it down.

        • I want all the patties to be the same diameter and thickness.

          • @AustriaBargain: Why? Does it really matter?
Unless this is for a business?

@AustriaBargain: then use scales to weigh the mince, then use a saucepan to press.

          • @AustriaBargain: Roll out the mince like dough so it’s all the same thickness and then cut them out using a cup that’s the right diameter you’re after.

I use a round thin plastic lid and do it manually.

  • I think OP is taking about a "regular" burger patty vs a smashed patty?

    • What the heck is a “smashed patty”? Sounds like hipster bs.

      • Not really, just a different style.

    Use your hand.

  • Just put each Pattie between two sheets of baking paper and use your hand to flatten them evenly to the desired thickness. Easy as that.

  • make mince , flatten with a roller to get uniform thickness get a couple of egg rings and press into meat perfect round shaped pattie consistent

  • Take your mince, add stuffs you want.
measure them and make a nice round balls.
Put a glad paper/baking paper/chux on bottom and top( you can cut the paper into smaller square shape so it covers the patties).

Smash with the Can/tin of baked beans or whatever you can find.
I recommend 50-80gms for mini and 160-180gm for regular ones
Comes up great and is consistent as well
