  • Always been a CoD guy, but I heard (and saw) that Battlefield has much better environments and variety in MP. Is this a good buy?

    • Personally the $9 Battlefield V buy is much better still very popular.

There is a hardcore server run for oce players that's usually active great ping I think it is Sydney based looking at my ping of 8 this afternoon.

The owner is pretty active and listens to the server if you want any changes for next round and etc.

Only gripe is because of the hardcore settings there is no third person cam for vehicles it's all first person which is fine but watching your tank or plane take hits is one of the cool things in the game and watching your bombs make impact.

Worth noting if you have amazon prime right now you can claim battlefield 3 for free, can also make a free trial for amazon prime if you haven't already done so.

    • Thanks, just got it. I think it expired in few hours. What would be the next month's free game?

    its good game.
but now its a bit too late for it, even for $2 unless you want to play single player etc

    • It's a good buy if you want it for research purposes for example say you want to experience how they did it all those years ago.

Good buy for experimenters and game dev researchers.

    Damn, bought this for $89 in 2011, I should've waited :(

Hehe this is how I do my buying now.

There is no rush for me to have everything day one unlike some people I know who need everything in the first month.

Same with pc parts now one of these days my hardware won't cut it any more and that's when I'll think about upgrading because I can still play my current backlog now and until the end of time.

Unfortunately some games don't last too long after the hype and if the focus is on multiplayer then you have to take that into consideration.

      • The patient gamer. I never buy for multilayer, for some reason I can't be bothered playing people on the net, if they come over happy to play a game but calling them to play online, CBF.

This is why console games are great, you don't have to worry about hardware and incompatibilities, it will just work 20 years from now

        • True True. Well when you live alone your only hope of getting multiplayer is online especially in these covid times.

Consoles are set and forget and very convenient but if you are budget limited then usually sticking to one platform is best and for me that was pc because I can do more than just gaming and console limited options.

Nothing wrong with consoles they have good exclusives and they work like you say regardless of hardware incompatibilities and etc but you can't properly fully game develop on a console only test on it and try custom stuff so when you get the urges to try outside the box then you need a pc to develop and experiment but of course if money was no option we would have everything right?

  • Are there many servers left?

    • +1

I see some people play battlefield 4 and 5 but not many playing 3.

This is on the official battlefield discord for all regions not just oce.

      I mostly play 5.

Not really. No Au servers just a few international ones. Even bf4 doesn't have au servers anymore

    • apparently theres a community that have reverse engineered the game or something so theres plans to add more maps etc. classic game the community want to reclaim after battlefield V was lackluster.

  • Can someone put the platform in the title pls?

  • Save your money and get Battlefield 4.

  • Nothing beats Noshar Canals to TDM

  • Dead game in Australia, please play another game that isn't 200ping
