Sucks, but either you buy and use it for $1 or it goes to the bin…
edit:
To the rapid negger(s) - I understand that you can also boycott this $1 offer, so not only the unethical farmers, not only the original unethical store, but also CBM gets the message to stick the cage eggs up their whatever and waste the unethical food. To me, wasting unethical food might be unethical. I understand you wouldn't pick it up even while on a dumpster diving quest.Cheap Buy Miles actually has a lot of vegan products.
What other stuff do they have? Anything good like usa imported stuff or is it just like another NQR with hit & miss groceries?
(profanity) it. I want my omelets.
CBM also sells organic free range eggs where you can watch the farm on webcam so you know it's legit.
All for the low low price of $3
Wow really. Might have to buy my eggs from there next time.
If you care about animal welfare, why support this? Even 'free range' eggs involve a lot of the same horrific practices as caged eggs, like beak mutilation and male chick maceration/gassing.
Hungry
Just get rid of humans = free range chickens everywhere. Problem solved.
Not supporting it at all.
At $1 nobody's making a real profit on it. I'm saying save it from being wasted.
It's like demolishing the $$$$$ parliament building in Canberra, because the contractors who built it were corrupted. Or they were murderers. You get me (?). Would be symbolical AF to tear it down, but also a sheer wastage.
I wasn't replying to your comment. Plus you missed my point. If the poster cared about animal welfare then they'd have an issue with all eggs, not just those from caged hens.
On a totally unrelated note, does anyone know where [politician] lives?
Most eggs are fine past their supposed use-by date.
Free range is a myth spoke to many farmers who say free range means they have "access" to a yard but really don't even use it, it's all marketing BS
Pretty cool
People care about making themselves feel good, not about what actually happens.
Yummy yummy in my tummy
Put them in hard to reach places, watch and smell as they turn :)
Or you know just eat them like a normal person. They don't explode or hatch into chickens after their date.
I fail to ssee how one can make a profit selling eggs at these prices. Surely buying chicken feed alone would cost more, let alone the wages, real estate, packaging etc…
They're short-coded
Bahaha
That's about what the free range producers pay for them in bulk when supply can't meet demand.
Oh no its the caged type.
