Housebound and needing to exercise, toyed with the idea of a spin bike but a rowing machine will give superior workout for more muscle groups etc. With a skinny budget of $300 can I get anything half decent?
Recommend Rowing Machine under $300?

Cheers, not sure if I've ever used magnetic. The fan ones at the gym are great. I was eye balling this one from Kogan, the reviews seem ok and the main issue ive found in the review with these cheap units is the low level of resistance on highest setting. This one however seems good according to the reviews.. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/fortis-magnetic-flywheel-rowing…

Been using this for 2 years, no issues at all. Slightly over your budget though (seems they have increased the price).
This looks really nice. Any reviews for it online? How do you find the max resistance? Shame about the shipping, it's $138 to my location makes it too much really…
Can get it for $388.76 Delivered at Amazon.

Ah that sucks. Maybe wait for a sale?
There are 12 resistance settings. I usually use between 6-10 and find it good enough but YMMV.
For your budget you will probably get a magnetic resistance.
Air rowers are better when you use an air resistance it is similar to the rowers at the gym.
Some people like water rowers although generally start at $800
