I read that there are fake LSI HBA cards so wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which sellers to buy from when looking for a LSI card for my Unraid setup.

I had an lsi hba card arrive 2 days ago, fortunately it arrived with recent IT firmware.
It's likely a fake, but i'm yet to notice a difference between fake and real hba adapters. The tech is 7+ years old now.

Yeah there are plenty of guides online and it's pretty straight forward. Any questions feel free to ask.
I used two sets of these cables and can recommend them. But keep in mind shipping may be a bit of a pain (arrived in two weeks for me but that was early covid)
Cool, do the cables included in my ebay link look fine for sata hdd use? It looks more like a daisychain?

the white/red cable isn't needed. It's for the hdd activity light

Flashed it to IT mode and it’s working great with the cables from amazon
The card you linked is likely a fake.
In saying that I have purchased several new LSI SAS cards in my day from Chinese sellers and they have been going strong for years. Your not getting genuine LSI SAS cards for under $100, they are clones but work the same anyway in my experience.
They are super easy to flash with the latest firmware via MegaRAID Storage Manager. If your after the IT mode firmware what you linked looks like a winner.
