Hi,
Just installed a video doorbell and seems like it is just on the edge of where our wifi signal reaches.
Could anyone suggest a relatively cheap wifi range extender? The doorbell uses the 2.4GHz signal.
Thanks

That's a good idea.
Please take this warning. The extender part of that product is terrible, barely any improvement to wifi signal for doorbell.
Have tried and returned many Ring products in the past, best signal is with Mesh WiFi system, even WiFi extender products were too weak to improve signal to doorbell.
TLDR: dumped whole Ring systems, all returned and refunded.
Thanks I don't have a Ring model. It's Orion from Bunnings.
We do smart home fit outs for assisted living circumstances and we've tried numerous extenders. Most IoT products are 802.11 b/g/n which means you don't need to shell out for fancy wireless ac/ax etc. In our experience, it was significantly worse.
We're quite happy with this model: https://www.amazon.com.au/TL-WA850RE-Wireless-N-Internet-Ext…
We've tried these but they aren't as good:

One good thing about these extenders is that they have Ethernet wireless bridging, which may help if you have PoE items. Couple of things to note:
* The latency and dropped packets greatly increase, from about 6 ms on a wireless connection to about variably 10 to 40 ms.
* Bandwidth is abysmal for anything but just surfing and browsing if you're using it to extend your WiFi signal for phones and laptops etc… don't use this. Use a mesh network instead.
I found this for $60 with free delivery

I was looking for the one I have, but it is $78.10 now
