Was This Used Cannondale CAAD 12 Road Bike a Good Deal at $1500?

I’ve recently purchased this road bike for $1500

I went and inspected it and found not many issues apart from weak brakes (which I assume can be easily fixed) and the rear brake lever being scratchy and not smooth (which I’m not sure if it’s from the cable or the lever itself). The bike comes with Ultegra group set and appears to be a 2016 Cannondale CAAD12.

Thanks for all your opinions.

Shouldn’t you have asked before you bought it?

What do you think? You bought it.

Are you going to go back to the seller and ask for cash back if it think it’s only worth $1k

Used bikes are overpriced right now due to covid decimating new stocks. .

    Username checks out.

I don't know anything about bikes, but I know this: People usually advertise their used gear for more than they expect to get because buyers are generally a stingy lot who will almost always start with a lowball offer. The fact that you paid his initial asking price suggests you certainly could have got a better deal.

Aluminium frame? No deal at $1500. It might be Ultegra gearset but they are 4 years old and cop alot of wear and tear

Good deal? I don't think so.
    Ok deal? Yeah probs.
$1000-$1200 was probably a better target, but hey, if you use it a lot and like it then it'll be worth it to you.

Meh not really a good deal, just a standard market price

  • Absolutely worth it for a CAAD12 - people never sell them, they are super reliable and have great handling
