This or Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100? People saying DiamondClean has issues and breaks over time..

      • I had 3-4 Diamond clean which last around 1.5-3 yrs. So I wont say its durable but it clean pretty well as not much complain from dentist.

moving away from these.. have had 5 of these, each stop working after 2 years avg..

    • agreed they have horrible battery life owned 2 of these aswell both died within a year.

    • In my experience, it was the charging case that stopped working. I had actually asked Philips for two warranty replacements because I thought my battery was dud too.

Once I changed the charger even the old ones have lasted since I bought them ~3 years ago.

    • Same. Had 2 and both died within 2 years. Perhaps got a bad batch?
My last Oral-B lasted 10+ years and never broke (I threw it out to get the Philips)

  • My OG Diamond Clean is still going strong after at least 5-6 years. Probably more? Lasts over a week on a charge, runs exactly the same as when I first got it.
Sounds like they don't make them like they used to….

    • Hm same here. Had mine + my other half's DiamondClean since 2016. They've both been solid.

  • Save yourself a whole lot of money and buy one of these. I have the previous non pro version and it's way better than my previous Diamond Clean. The battery last 3-4 times longer and it cleans better IMHO.
