That's the barista express not the pro, only major difference is the LCD screen.
Coffee snobs will tell you to spend an extra $150 or so and buy a proper Italian-built machine like a Rancilio Silvia. These cheap and cheerful Breville and Sunbeam machines have limited thermal mass and produce some pretty mediocre results compared to machines built from steel and brass.
EDIT: Apology if the truth offends anyone here.
Add another $200 ++ for a grinder, and also different target market.
The point remains, if you want a good espresso machine you don't buy Breville or Sunbeam. And the OP's original statement that a BES878BTR would be approved by coffee snobs is still laughable.
Coffee snob - wouldn't recommend integrated grinder
Amen.
Yep would pay the bit more and get the bes920 and separate grinder
Whats makes the BES920 Dual Boiler better than the Barista Pro?
Or a basic Italian machine and a grinder.
For anyone who got this - don't forget to claim your free month of beans
gosh, that is expensive for a coffee maker!
