People actually buy these things O_O?
    Protips:
    1. Russian Key = $19
    2. $280 - $19 = $261 saved
    3. Spend saved money on better headphones

id change 3 to spend money on getting out the house more and having a life…

      • +6

        I'd spend 3 on 130 whoppers

The irony of hotzone sitting on the Internet on a Saturday night telling other people to get a life is delicious..

        • haha valid point

        • -2

Your blatant misuse of the word 'irony' is far more ironic than hotzone's comment.

        • You clearly need to look up the definition for the word irony. Nice epic fail there on your behalf.

      • You can do both.

    • What would you recommend as a good set of gaming cans?

Hate to tell you but they're cheaper by a decent amount ($263.20) at Dick Smith
    http://dicksmith.com.au/product/YG1097/turtle-beach-mw3-ear-…

  • Grrr, Thats where I bought them from 2 days ago instore, but they were $329!
DO they have a price guarantee thingy?

    • The Dick Smith price is for online purchases only. You could give it a go though.

      • only online, but click and collect only (store pickup). Weird.

  • +1

You cannot use the other coupons unfortunately as it is only a click and collect, not delivery.. So u cannot claim the free delivery or paypal bonus :(
The only coupon u can use is the $25 xmas bonus code!! But still that brings it down to $238.20
So a great deal still at $100 less than RRP!

Aren't these just PX5's rebadged? Not as though PX5 aren't great, just that they can be picked up for $250 or less quite often (I paid that on release)

how good are these in terms of comfyness? I have always liked Beats by Dr. Dre for their soft pads, but disliked how much i would've needed to invest in one, so is this comparable?

    • +1

Beats headphones are comfortable for a maximum of 10 minutes before your ears and head start hurting from the tightness of them.

      • and before any remaining shred of self esteem goes out the window from the gayness of them.

If you want comfort go look at Audio Technica AD700's. They're one of the more popular headphones.

      • The only gripe I have with the AD700s is the noise bleed - anyone else within a 10 metre radius of you is going to hear anything you are playing at even a modest volume. Other than that, I positively love my set :D

Beats are not good value, they are just decent and majorly overpriced.

http://headphones.com.au/ <— generally they will give honest and valuable advice, also the prices are decent.

      • Prices aren't decent when you compare to Amazon, including shipping.

  • +2

For $200 you can get some damn fkn amazing headphones.

I highly doubt these are that quality.

My condolences to anyone who spent over $30 for a set of 'gaming', 'surround sound' or Logitech branded headphones.

I have to give it to these guys though, selling absolute trash for audiophile prices.

  • It's all about the branding. They're obviously attracting plenty of gamers with that link-in.

  • Branded was a proper tv show with a moral viewpoint - should not be confused with branding - an amoral marketing technique.

  • Not that great'er deal… but completely agree with bentan 777 the Koss Portapros are a great set of headphones and well worth the money. I couldn't personally justify myself paying $280 for some headphones.
