Coleman Gazebo - Advice Needed

Hi and Merry Christmas to Everyone!

I have been looking for a gazebo for upcoming camping holidays. Last night I found one that ticks all the boxes for me, except I dont know the built quality. There is no info regarding the materials used. Im hoping it to be heavy duty as the ozb favourite oztrail and ridge ryder. But this one comes with lights and mesh walls.
I was hoping maybe someone here has experience with this gazebo and could give me advice if i should go for it.
Thats the one Im talking about: https://www.bunnings.com.au/coleman-3-6-x-3-6m-portable-gaze…

Many Thanks!

  • Wow, that looks fancy, great. But doesn't look as durable as the oztrail etc. How are the LEDs powered? I'd pay $199 for it for its usability and features (99 secondhand), any way you can get a discount? - From an oztrail owner.

$199 is pretty standard price for Ridge Ryder and Oztrail heavy duty gazebos.
Im not worried that it is too expensive. I reckon if you add mesh walls and LED lights to these, their price will be nearly the same.
Plus this Coleman one is slightly bigger.

I haven’t tried the one you have found, but have been looking into these recently. Another option would be the Ridge Ryder ($140 until 27/12) with the Coleman 3m inner tent (https://www.bunnings.com.au/coleman-3m-x-3m-gazebo-inner-ten…). This would be roughly the same total price. The inner tent has a floor and more weatherproof walls, but does not have the lights. I guess it depends on what your priorities are

  • How did you go?

  • Bought it, but havent unpacked yet

    • digging up an old thread here, would you recommend this?

      • It didnt meet my needs. I was on the impression it came with flooring, like a tent. But it was just a gazebo with walls.
But product itself was very easy to set up.

        • sorry to hear that. I am essentially looking for a sunshade (and a place to leave a table and chairs etc at night during camping). So would you recommend this product for it's quality etc for my needs?

          • @Ace26: Im not sure what your needs are.
Does it have to be just a shade, or shade with walls or shade with walls and flooring?
Depending on how you are going to transport it, Are there any limits to the packed dimensions of the gazebo?
            Etc
I bought and returned many different gazebos until i finally found something that fit our needs.
Luckily the returns process is very easy.

I only had the coleman gazebo pitched for 5 minutes, to see if it came with flooring. Hard to comment on the quality. It felt sturdy and i liked that it had inbuilt lighting system.

My concern with this gazebo was that it was bigger than the standard 3x3m size, which means it wont be easy to find replacement parts/fabric as easily if they fade or break.

Oztrail, rydge ryder etc are selling parts for their gazebos and should even be interchangeable between different brands. But this is bunnings's special product and i dont think they sold any spares.

            Hope it helps

          • @Ace26: Have a look at the oztent screen house/hex house. Expensive, but sometimes 30% off at supercheap auto or sometimes can be found on gumtree. Very quick to put up and down and seems to be well made
