Just did mine, Holden Colorado 7. Got off ebay https://www.ebay.com.au/str/rolan.
I went for cheap(est) rotors and good brake pads.
Rotors were about $60 a set and pads about $120.

    • From what I've heard about the Colorado, I'm surprised the car itself lasted longer than the brakes! :P

    For the front.

    For the rear

If anyone tells you that you don't need slotted rotors for a daily, tell them to get stuffed.

You don't need slotted rotors for a daily. Just more noise with no upside.

      • What sound does the rotor make?

What ever you do… Do not buy Bendix

Other than that get what suits your car, you do not need "genuine" just get a good brand (and that as i said means not buying bendix)

    • What ever you do… Do not buy Bendix

At least give a reason why you suggest this

Yeah i wa posting quickly, ill clarify.

Worked in the industry for many years and saw the way in which bendix lost their quality as they moved their manufacturing locations.
The pads are poorly made and tend to be very dusty and wear quickly.

There is few mechanics/brake specialists that would recommend Bendix anymore they are relying on their old reputation which i agree was very good but in current times there are far better brake pads around. (the ones that do recommend Bendix are doing so due to the kickback, sign of the times that bendix is the ONLY brand that pays a rebate to retailers who recommend it)

at a retail level i would suggest Bosch or RDA
RDA are good value and are a decent pad these days (they ironically changed their manufacturing which greatly improved the quality of their pads)
DBA are also a decent quality to value proposition these days.

        • This, put Benadix into a family member daily. Was okish then after 2 weeks kinda wooden best describe it. Just not much bite.

For my daily, I recently did front pads and rotors. Put Brembos into my Kia, turned out cheaper and way better then OE. Got it from Rolan Australia ebay, great to deal with.

    • Mate why note bendix. Bosch ?

  • Exactly.

    Why not Bendix?

I have a 4X4 weighing 2,500kg. Used Bendix from the first pad change. Pads last changed 4 weeks ago after 6 years and 95,000ks. Still had meat on them.
