You can always send them back to the RM factory for a refurbish. A new sole and heel is $165, plus you can get new elastics and pulls if needed.
I have a pair of leather soled RMs that are more than 20 years old. Not worn on a farm or to do any hard labour, but they are still comfortable after their refurb 10 years ago.
Unfortunately this is still $50 more than what you can pick these up for. Yes it's cheaper than rrp, but by ozbargain standards its not really a deal
