What Are You Doing with a Cooked Lobster?

With lobster being cheaper and everyone buying it, what can you actually do with cooked lobster? If it was raw our option would be far greater but given it is cooked we are a bit confined. So what is there to do?

I just had it for dinner yesterday. Bought frozen local ones and put it over the BBQ. Cut it into halves, cook with garlic butter and salt. YUM!

    Alien fancy dress.

    • You’re going to need a lot of lobsters to make yourself an alien costume.

      • Not for the face hugger bit.

    • Remembered “Lobster man from Mars”, this movie gives you nightmares.
It says comedy but when you are a kid it is definitely scary movie.

    Naming it 'pinchy'

  • Seasoned Egg Noodles with Cheese and Ginger.

  • Half the foodies think it's sacrilege, the other half think it's amazing: Lobster Mac 'n' Cheese.

If it's already cooked, serve cold, lemon, some thousand island dressing, salt and pepper.
If it's raw - can be frozen - on the bbq flesh side down for 4 minutes before flipping and spooning butter, garlic, chilli, parsley and lemon zest mixture on it. Grouse!

  • Lobster slap.

Giving it to my asian neighbours to cook for me and give back to me.

My Chinese neighbours have sick knife skills and they always make great seafood

    • well you better be paying them

      • No. They're rich and they do it for free.

        • Plus they have knives and they probably like buying Orico computer gear

Where did you get your cheap lobster from? can't find it at my coles and woolies.

  • Local seafood shops sell live 650g crayfish for $47 and frozen 450g for $20.

  • Hood ornament

  • Cut in half lengthways and BBQ with a lemon garlic chive butter. Shell side down initially. Couple of minutes.

  • That's a very personal question

  • One year my nephew made a really nice cold salad for lunch with a crayfish he caught (this is in WA). Just chucks of crayfish with some other greens and a nice dressing.

I'm not buying it…. stop perpetuating the rape of the ocean.
If these fisheries over-built their fleets now finding themselves in bankruptcy, that's their greedy problem.

Best of all its covid free

    • At Chinese restaurants they tend to kill a fresh lobster and cook it don't they? Grab one of the tank?

How did that turn out with an already cooked lobster? Wouldn't it be rubbery after cooking it again?

      • Yes restaurants use fresh lobster.

Mine wasn't cooked, it was raw from woolies. I bought the tail for $7.50 each
