Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone here has the 65SX yet and what your thoughts are having lived with it?
As it's only recently been available I don't think many will have it already so it's never really mentioned in a lot of the comparisons when people ask about the best TV…
I was thinking I'd get a Sony x9000H, but with limited supply and/or deals the 65SX starts to look attractive at least on paper.
Reviews don't seem great, but my current TV is 9 years old so surely any slight blurring will not be noticeable in comparison?
Also, some reviews mention image scrambling. Is this something that could be fixed with firmware?
I'm not worried about the lack of 2.1 as I think I've had enough of consoles (didn't use my Xbox One enough/have a decent PC).
thanks for any advice in advance.
Im no expert however I keep up to date on a lot of TVs.
I wouldn't go for dual cell.
Ive heard it chews power like crazy, runs really hot.
Q8 is a great alternative, a friend of mine picked up the 65Q8 on Black Friday and loves it.
Doesn't support 2.1 but honestly, not many games are going to run on 120FPS.
Im a big gamer, I picked up the XSX and PS5, both are great on my 85" R7.
60FPS is great, the upgraded quality in graphics are more than enough, and most games now run in Quality mode @ 30 or Performance @ 60.
My next tv will be a HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM, 120 etc but thats with a $10,000 budget.
But if your not looking to buy crazy expensive, go the Q8. Awesome bang for buck and fantastic HDR.
IMO you should be looking for a TV with HDR more than 2.1
Good HDR will blow you away, its much more impactful.
