PSA - Hungry Jack's Shake & Win Free Fries Now Requires $1 Min Purchase

Walked past a HJ today and decided to play shake & win. Got a free fries so I went in to redeem it. The app gave me an option to redeem it via the app (which seems to be a new feature). When I tried that, it said I needed a min $1 purchase. Then I noticed that there is a new condition on the prize screen. (Forgot to take a screenshot.) Didn't have time to try to see if it's possible to bypass this requirement by redeeming at the cashier. (Would be good if someone can try and report back.)

Not sure if the same condition applies to the free soft drink prize.

    All Shake & Win prizes (including the ones where you have to pay) now require $1 min purchase :(

    That is to apply whatever Shake & Win prize through the app, without going to the cashier.

    Didn't have time to try to see if it's possible to bypass this requirement by redeeming at the cashier.

    Just redeem the offer at the cashier (as you would have done before), and you will not need to pay (if the prize is free) or spend a minimum of $1.

    Not sure if the same condition applies to the free soft drink prize.

    Redeemed this one yesterday, same as above. It's still free, you just have to redeem it at the cashier.

      Good to hear. Wonder if it's just that the cashier/POS hasn't caught on though. The prize screen seem to suggest that condition applies to both redemption method. I guess use it while it lasts (before they update the POS).
