I went to Pacific Werribee Plaza in melbourne for the first time and saw a lot of support beams throughout the basement car park. Is this normal? Is the shopping centre in danger of collapsing or something?

Do you mean temporary beams? Maybe they were loading something heavy above it all. Or are removing a permanent support and putting in a new one.
I surely hope so. I remember reading the news several months back about apartment tower which have structural issue where they put support beams throughout. It just struck my mind when i entered the car park.
If you didn't leave right away then you mustn't have believed that it could collapse.
The sky is falling!!!
There is termites in the beam
What did centre management say when you asked?
They said go ask the expert team at ozbargain of course.
Didnt have a chance to see one. Even if it is a problem, i dont think management will say it else PANIC.
Pictures?
I did not took one. Perhaps i should have. I can ask my friends who live in the area to grab one. I ll post it once i got it.
PYes. Why else wouldt they spend $$$$ on it
