Is there any way to watch amazon prime on a new hisense smart tv?
I have a chrome cast but the tv is wall mounted and both power sources are being used so don’t want to use adapters or extension cords etc
I am hoping it’s possible

I installed the app on the TV from the Play Hub, I like it better than using Chromecast as I can just use the remote to control it.
The tv is only 2 years old and I can’t see the Play Hub? Is it just in the Apps section?
Oh my bad, I was thinking about my Samsung TV, but my Hisense does have the Netflix button, haven't tried prime on it though

I use my xbox series x, power bills be damned.
I have an Android TV, but for some stupid reason Prime isn't compatible on it, Disney, Netflix, Kayo all on the TV, but Series X for Prime, started using the rest on Xbox too, as it seems way quicker, it can sometimes mess with quick resume though.
I had a problem on xbox one x for a while where the subtitles wouldn't turn off in Amazon Prime. I would use my Apple TV, but that's in another room.
I'm not sure about your particular model but If it has a USB port, you may be able to power the Chromecast from that.
Yep just checked and it has 2 USB ports, how do you use a chromecast with this?
Instead of powering the chromecast with the powerbrick, you use a usb to micro usb cable. If you have an old android phone then chances are you have a cable lying around. If you use the TV USB it will kill power when turned off - so your chromecast will need time to start up each time you turn the TV on

I wouldn't go above a chromecast for a two year old hisense. Picture quality only really improved enough with this year's Q8's to justify a shield.

We have 2 Hisense P4s (one purchased 2018, the other in 2019) and the Amazon Prime app appeared on both in around March this year, so must have been an update by Hisense.
My hisense TV bought in Dec last year has Amazon prime installed on app. I can cast from app, but I just need to link it from my account Everytime I want to use remote control though. Whch is a pain.
Thankfully Netflix and YouTube I don't have to.
I have the HAT4KDTV (RG said on the box, or something like that)… I think I bought it on the second half of 2019. It has Android TV, but even after the update this year, prime didn't appear on mine 🙁. I had to put the APK in a USB drive, then install it through File Commander
I bought my Hisense in 2018 (can't remember the exact model sorry) and it doesn't appear anywhere and there are no updates available.
I am thinking of using the USB to micro USB cable so I am hoping this will work?
