Looking to rent out a house in a month and thought we might as well update to meet the 2021 smoke alarm requirements.
Need smoke alarm in every bedroom, hallway, all interconnected, photoelectric and be hardwired or 10 year lithium battery.
What have people used or any installers in far north queensland recommended?
Pretty much this, my rental agent just sent me a single quote with various brands of alarms and I just picked what I thought was better and they did the rest.
I installed these myself. 10 year battery life.

go to qld gov website and search there for the regs. I think they have to be wired. then make sure your agent complies. checking with the dept is better than asking on ozb
your rental agent would handle it, mine has an agreement with an electrical contractor that sends a electrician out every 6 mths to test smoke alarm etc they also will install more in my place next year for compliance
