WTF…! these are cheaper than they were on BF sale…

  • What’s the difference between buying from amazon US and amazon AU for returns?

    • Possibly the warranty?

  • +1

Jabra's warranty is amazing, last year my first pair of 65Ts had a fault and I was travelling overseas so they rushed a new replacement pair to me in 4 days from Hong Kong. this replacement pair has broken down again unfortunately (Right side is really rally quiet, I think the tweeter has fallen out somehow) and they're now sending me another pair.

There is a trick or way or whatever you call it, to gain back the volume. Clean the small hole on the buds.

      • +1

Ear wax buildup and coconut oil moisturiser

    • +2

My 65T's lost sound in the left earbud 2½ years after buying. Even though the warranty had lapsed they sent me a replacement set. Great customer service.

      • +1

Do you mind detailing steps to claim and he processes, are they asking for proof something like that, who responsible to pay for shipping to return the damage item, etc?

        • +2

I did it through the Contact Jabra Support in the Sound+ app. It takes you through a troubleshooting section first, and once completed without success I was recommended to submit a claim.

Had to provide a copy of receipt and a photo of the buds in the charging case showing the printing on the inside of the flap. The email I received after lodging the claim said that if it was successful they would send me a postage label to use to return the faulty buds.

Within 48 hours I received another email stating that the claim was successful and they would send me a replacement set of buds (not charging case) and that I didn't need to return the faulty ones. A week later I received them.

I hadn't registered them with Jabra, but the Sound+ app made the process very easy.

          • @nick1058: How long ago was this? I think it's changed to only replacing devices purchased directly from Jabra now - my friend was instructed to return her faulty 75t to the retailer.

      • That's good to hear.

And Jabra actually gives 2 additional years of dust and water resistance warranty on top of the statutory 1 year warranty, if you register the product in its Sound+ app.

        • +1

          statutory 1 year warranty

That isn't a 'statutory' warranty. It's an express or manufacturer warranty. Statutory warranty would refer to the guarantee under ACL against minor or major failures and has no set time limit.

          • @[Deactivated]: Fair point, but that's only the case if the retailer is also Jabra. Otherwise the statutory warranty is claimable with the retailer, not the manufacturer i.e. Jabra.

            • +1

@zrmx: Both these points are wrong.

A statutory warranty is separate to the warranty you're referring to with a 1-year time limit. That warranty is often referred to as a manufacturer's warranty despite usually going through the retailer. A manufacturer warranty isn't required to be offerred, but a statutory warranty is legally enforceable (as is a manufacturer warranty if it is promised).

Also, both the retailer and manufacturer are responsible for a statutory warranty. If you can't get a resolution through the retailer then you can go to the manufacturer or importer.

              • @[Deactivated]: I stand corrected with regards to the wording of statutory.

    • The sound/ connection on my 65s seems really glitchy. Havent checked to see if its a known issue yet, but good to know replacement might be an option..

So OW matched the Prime price which adds $0 for shipping? Can you post the receipt?

  • How do you price match it with ow? As its from us

    • I am wondering the same ..

      • +1

The OW I went to advised as long as it's on the Amazon AU website then they're able to price beat it. I may have just gotten lucky on this.

Still a good price without the OW price match. Just gotta wait for item to be shipped.

  • best headphones yet, this is a great deal

  • +1

These are great headphones. Good deal OP

  • Is this better than Sammy kidney beans

  • My local OW wouldn't match US import. Cash rewards currently has 10% for Amazon so just have to wait for shipping ordering online.

  • Had these for less than a week, the left bud kept dropping out so I returned them, fantastic sounding buds, if connection isn't an issue this is a no brainer.

  • I thought price match would not be possible as different product number.
    Amazon: 100-99090000-02
    OW: 100-99090000-40

    Gonna try tomorrow

      • Tried on the phone, the rep said they don't price match international models… gonna try in store… thanks

        • Just got a rep to price match in store, he couldn’t find the price on the system, I showed him the pic of the receipt and did it with no issues

  • Not sure if this is as good of a deal as people on here make it out to be especially considering it's a US import.
The one with wireless charging from the AU store was $198 a few weeks ago. That's an actual good deal.

    • I dont think anyone is purchasing from Amazon US. They are price matching and buying from office works with price match.

  • Went to OW Wentworthville NSW. After some discussion and hesitation they decide to price match but added $9 delivery cost for Amazon even when I have prime.
I didn't complaint much considering it is still a great price. Got it for $177.17.
    Thanks OP.

    • No luck in Adelaide stores. Been to two and neither would look at it because of different model number….oh well

      • Really? Call head office. Show them receipt posted by OP. Dont give up man. May be go to another OW.

        • Tried on the phone, no luck. Will try another store tomorrow

      • I went to the OW in rundle mall and got them to do it, I showed them a picture of the recipt

        Edit:
        Hope this helps:

        • Cheers Pelta. That worked nicely although he mentioned it was originally price matched incorrectly and noted it on my receipt.
          Thanks :)

  • Officeworks specifically removed the parallel import / grey stock restriction in 2018 from its price beat promise so customers could access this offer easily - as long as stock is listed on a com.au website no issue! Any Officeworks refusing to price beat this is wrong and head office should be called on the spot to politely remind the store of the correct policy!

Normally Officeworks just adjust their price to match the competition so they don't have to beat them - if they're not doing it then $168 to all :)

    • +1

It still needs to be the same product. A different model number isn't the same product (according to their reasoning).

  • Can confirm that Officeworks will price beat it providing you show evidence of it being performed. Wentworthville Officeworks stated that the last 2 digits of AU and US models are different and refused. However went to Auburn, showed them the receipt Sang11 posted, and they gave it to me at $168.64. They discussed that because it's already been verified at another store, they don't need to double check the serial numbers

    • +2

Glad the receipt worked for you my friend. Hope you'll enjoy the headphones as much as I have.

    • Strange! I bought from the same store (Wentworthville). They did add $9 shipping which I didn't mind. But still their policy is not consistent.
      Excellent product :)

  • Went to Officeworks and they refused to price match as the part/model number on Amazon and Officeworks differ. Apparently staff got training last week to check for this difference

  • Office works in Richmond just price matched this with the receipts posted above. Just grabbed a pair for me and the missus

  • Amazon AU now has them for $199 if your local Officeworks won't price match the import model

  • Tried in Geelong and no price
Match, just purchased from Amazon USA

  • These are back in stock at $188
