Good Office Computer and Dual Monitors

Hey guys,
My mum needs a new office PC. Use-case is for business stuff. Banking, mass excel spreadsheets that sort of thing. She'd like a dual monitor setup (<24" each) to spread out all the windows she has open and would prefer not to get a large tower PC.

Her budget was $2000, but I was thinking more in the realm of $1000 would be reasonable. Her previous pc is a HP Pavilion 23 all-in-one bought in 2014 which is horrifically slow now.

My thoughts were:
- SSD for windows installation
- 1TB HDD
- Decent intel CPU and intergrated graphics.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Cheers.

  • For office work usage, something like a NUC or Ryzen Mini Pc should be more than sufficient. If you can find a Asus PN50 MiniPC that's an excellent value mini pc runing a R5 4500U or R7 4700U. With a 1TB M2 SSD and 16GB of RAM you'd be looking at roughly $800-1000 depending on the base model you go for.

You can find decent dell 24" for a couple of hundred tops each (less when its on sale) so that's another 400 or so.

  • Get one of these SFFs

Add in the bits you need like SSD

Then 2 monitors for and you're done.

  • Runnin few dozen of these at work in the offices.. havent had any issues so far
Dell Micro with the MFS18 mount. and a second 24 on its own.
